MukeshAmbani-led Reliance Jio just launched its LYF brand smartphones. Reliance Digital stores unveiled Water 1, Water 2,
and Earth 1 phones on the occasion of Republic Day.
Water 1, Water 2, and Earth 1 phones are priced at INR 17,399, INR 15,499, and INR 25,800, respectively. Currently, they
are offered at discounted rates. With 14% off, Water 1 is available at INR 14,999, Water 2 at INR 14,690, with 5% off, and
Earth 1 at INR 23,990, witha 7% discount.
Features of the phones
Water 1 is an attractive model, with a 6.8 mm body covered with a dual glass finish. The front camera of the phone is of 5
MP and has an 80 Degree wide angle for a group-selfie. The phone operates on a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor,
and 64-bit octa-core chipset. High-end games can be enjoyed on this phone without any glitches. The phone also has a 2600
mAh battery, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, and 32 GB external memory. It supports High-Definition (HD) quality
multimedia, and multi-party video calling, among others.
Water 2 has a unibody design with a thickness of 7.7mm and weight of 135 grams. The screen-size measures12.7cm, with an HD
display offering superior picture quality. The phone has features like 10 point multi-touch Incell technology, Wi-Fi
calling support with uniform dialer, and multi-party video calling. Water 2 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor,
64-bit octa-core chipset, and a 2 GB RAM. It has a 2400 mAh battery, enhanced with a low power consumption feature. The
primary camera is of 13 MP, having a Sony Exmor RS IMX-214 lens, while the secondary camera is of 5 MP, having a wide
angle lens.
The body of Earth 1 comes with an aluminum alloy frame having a monolithic design and a rear glass finish. Its thickness
is of 7.2 mm. The screen has a 13.97cmAMOLED display. Its processor is same as Water 1, but it is supported by a 3 GB RAM
and an Octa-core chipset, along with a 3,500 mAh battery. Its internal storage capacity is of 32 GB, which can be expanded
with a memory card.
All three smartphones support dual SIMs and they come with the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. All of the phones
support 2G, 3G, as well as 4G bands. On 4G, they support spectrum bands of 1800 MHz, 850 MHz, and 2300 MHz.
