The retail arm of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries, Reliance Retail rolled out its LYF branded 4G smartphones of the
limited edition. The company initiated the offer from Valentine’s Day on 14
th February. It will end on the last
weekend of the month, 28
th February.
Valentine’s Day Offer
The phones, Flame 1 and Wind 6, are given with engraved messages for the customers. Flame 1 is priced at INR 6,399 and
Wind 6 is priced at INR 7,099.
Reliance Retail has named the offer as ‘Togetherness Offer.’ The offer is available in 13 cities of the country. These
include Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, among others.
The accessories brand of Reliance Retail, Reconnect is also offering discounts up to 40% on power banks and selfie sticks.
A release from the company revealed that power banks are sold at a discounted price ofINR 720. Selfie sticks are priced at
INR 999 and sold at INR 600.
Features of the Smartphones
All the smartphones have technologies of Voice over Long-Term Evolution (VoLTE) and Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWi-Fi). The
phonesallow users to make calls over the internet. The phoneshave features like High Definition (HD) voice and video
quality, smooth switch between Wi-Fi and voice networks, audio and video conferencing with multiple people, and lots
more.
The handsets come withattractive offers on the inbuilt Jio Money application. The offers will be valid for a period of six
months. LYF has partnered with a number of companies to provide exciting offers and freebies to customers. As per the
partnership, customers will be able to avail offers at Mainland China, Uber, Ferns and Petals, Hard Rock Cafe, Little,
California Pizza Kitchen, Myntra, Cafe Coffee Day, Snapdeal, and others.
Reliance Jio’s Phone Launch in Madhya Pradesh
The telecom venture of Reliance Industries, Reliance Jio, recently launched its 4G VoLTE LYF branded smartphone in Madhya
Pradesh. At an event held on 7
th February, at Indore, the company introduced the phones.
Reliance Jio rolled out 3 smartphone models. They were Water 1, Water 2, and Earth 1. The phones are priced between INR
13,000 and INR 24,000. The company will be coming up with more models in few days. It will launch these in phases.
These LYF handsets support technologies like video conferencing, VoWi-Fi, and HD voice and videos.
At the event, Reliance Jio displayed 6 multimedia applications of the phone. They were Jio Play, Jio Chat, Jio on Demand,
Jio XpressNews, Jio Mags, andJio Beats.A spokesperson of Reliance Jio said that the company is proud to join hands with
the Madhya Pradesh government. Together, they will work towards accomplishing the government’s vision of Digital Madhya
Pradesh. “
Reliance Jio is motivated to end the digital divide of the citizens of Indore by bringing cutting edge (true
4G) technology to people”, the spokesperson added.
Industry experts predict that Reliance Jio will launch its 4G services commercially between March and April, this year.
