Scanning and attaching made easy
A special device has been designed as an accompaniment to the
LYF smartphones. called the ‘Scan Box’. The scan box can be used in conjunction with smart phones for scanning various files. These products are now available at Reliance Retail outlets across the country. The scan box contains an LED light. Its functionality involves positioning the smart phone in to the slot provided and manning it through an application which aids in scanning files.
How to use the scan box
To activate the facility, the Customer Acquisition Form needs to filled and uploaded with photo ID proof to Jio’s servers. This process is not time consuming in contrast to services offered by other carriers.
4G enabled smart phones at affordable rates
Reliance Jio has tied up with various manufacturers to launch its line of smart phones. In order to arouse public interest in their venture, the company will introduce these phones at fairly affordable prices. Customers will be offered a wide range of choices to choose from depending on their budget and preference.
Reliance Jio’s portable Wi-Fi device
One of the other devices that is considered to be a fresh installment by Reliance Jio is the portable Wi-Fi device called the JioFi. The distinguishing factor in this device is that it is capable of providing Wi-Fi support to 10 devices simultaneously.
Other digital services
As the advent of revealing Reliance Jio’s smart phones nears, the company has already begun preparations for launching other digital services. These include music streaming, cloud storage facilities and video streaming.The company also earlier launched Lyf smart LED TVs which is among the slimmest television sets in the world. These TVs run on the latest software version of Android KitKat OS.
Sub-sea cable network
Reliance Jio recently revealed that the company will soon be part of the sub-sea cable network of the Bay of Bengal Gateway ( BBG).The network cable created using high-optical fiber will enable Reliance Jio to offer better data services in India. “It offers not just direct connectivity in and out of India through Chennai and Mumbai but also acts as a state-of-the-art extension to Jio’s core network”, said Matthew Oommen, President of Reliance Jio.
Congestion-free cable system
Easy connection to Europe, South-east Asia and Africa is made possible through this cable system. The BBG network averts the technical glitches that were a part of the earlier cable network. Through this network, a direct route to Europe has been devised thereby avoiding congested areas like the Malacca strait.Reliance has thus, dispensed-with other submarine networks for its networking needs.
Reliance Globalcom collaborates with Reliance Communications
Reliance Globalcom which has a network system that covers 65,000 km has also collaborated with Reliance Communications. The landing station at Chennai will be operated by Reliance Infocomm Jio.
With these new developments, Reliance Industries aims to improvise and bring together the best services to its customers.
