Graduation day at Dhirubhai Ambani International School was marked by a thought-provoking
speech by actor Shahrukh Khan in the presence of Nita Ambani. He addressed the outgoing batch at the school with words of encouragement that surely left an indelible mark on the students, faculty and parents as well.
Inspirational speech
His speech remained the major highlight of the event wherein he also went on to share a few anecdotes from his own life. It was apparent that the students related to what he spoke as he shed light on aspects like his childhood and the things he learnt along as he transitioned into adulthood. Apart from that he also revealed the most important lessons that he retained and applied to his own life. His advice to the students he was addressing was, to be themselves and enjoy freedom.

The Dhirubhai Ambani International School
The Dhirubhai Ambani International School, founded by Nita Ambani is one of the most established educational institutions in the country. Mrs. Ambani’s dissatisfaction with the traditional education system is what gave birth to this well-known school.
Nita Ambani’s involvement in the education industry has not waivered ever since, with a goal to impart holistic education keeping in line with global standards.
Role played by the founder
Nita Ambani plays an integral role in conducting workshops for teachers, in order to acquaint them with the skills and values that need to be inculcated in students. Currently, 13 schools are operating under the Reliance Foundation.
She also intends to explore newer avenues by making a foray into education for children with special needs. Higher education is also something Mrs. Ambani is considering.
CSR initiatives
Reliance Industries’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities have also been in the spotlight for long. The organization is actively involved in projects concerning sanitation, education, social, health, and ecology.

Bharat India Jodo
Bharat India Jodo (BIJ) is one of the foundation’s most important people-centric programs. The initiative aims at aiding the social and economic development of several villages in the country. It is currently operational in 540 villages. Kopar Khairane has around 13 schools managed by the Reliance Foundation with around 15,000 children enrolled in the same. It has even conducted health outreach programs to benefit the under-privileged. The Agar village near Ujjain is a success story in itself and reflects the work put in by the Reliance Foundation towards empowering it.
