Reliance Digital to Partner with Croma and The Mobile Store to Sell LYF Phones

Reliance Digital’s LYF smart phones will now line the shelves of retail chains like Croma and The Mobile Store. The company is currently looking at a tie-up with these chains to increase sale of their handsets. To keep up with the rising demand for 4G-enabled handsets, the company has shipped several LYF phones since the brand’s launch in January. Cybermedia Research as well as Counterpoint Research revealed that Reliance Digital shipped almost 2 to 3 million units towards the end of the first quarter (March, 2016).

Increasing customer base

Market analysts expect the brand to gain an increasing number of customers, particularly because Reliance Jio 4G services, will soon roll out its high-speed data services to the public. They have predicted a December launch for the same.

LYF models can be purchased from popular outlets like Spice Hotspot, Universal and Sangeeta Mobiles that are predominantly present in South India.

Quality features at attractive prices

LYF handsets are rising in terms of consumer popularity. Web data reveals that the phones have been widely searched on the Internet by prospective customers with a recorded search volume of 0.7 million during March and April itself.

Until now, Reliance Digital has introduced around 10 new LYF models such as EARTH 1, LYF WATER1, LYF FLAME 1, LYF WATER 2, LYF FLAME 2, LYF FLAME 3, LYF FLAME 4, LYF WIND 4, LYF WIND 6 and LYF WATER 5 into the market. The handsets are affordable and range from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 20,000. This offers customers the flexibility to choose from a range of premium handsets without compromising on their budget.

Eight percent market share

Reliance Digital’s LYF brand even managed to garner an 8% market share according to Cybermedia Research. Reliance Jio 4G provides attractive data packages which are expected to affect the sale of LYF smart phones positively.

LYF Wind 4

One of the company’s most recent offerings includes the LYF Wind 4 which falls under the category of the brand’s Elements collection. The phone stands out for its VoLTE technology and impressive features. It is defined by sleek edges and an exquisitely crafted rubber back to prevent slip-off. The phone also has a dual-SIM feature.

Rich digital experience

The phone offers users a rich digital experience with its IPS screen and vivid colors. This makes video streaming easy. What further adds to the experience is the DTS Surround Sound Technology.

The phone’s 2MP front shooter and 8MP rear camera helps capture quality photos. Some features that the camera boasts of include High Dynamic Range Mode (HDR), Panorama, Continuous shot, Face detection and Touch to focus.

Other features of the Wind 4 include video conferencing, high definition voice calling, video calling, multi-party voice and the option to switch between voice and Wi-Fi. The phone runs on the operating system Android Lollipop 5.1.1. It encompasses ample storage capacity of 8GB ROM which can be extended up to 32GB. It is backed by a powerful processing system that includes Quad core processor 1.1 GHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 and Adreno 304 @ 400 MHz GPU. Additionally, it is powered by a 4000mAh battery made of Lithium-Ion Polymer. The phone is light-weight and weighs only 146 grams.
