Nita Ambani in order to extend Reliance Industries’ philanthropic activities, Reliance Foundation aims to create positive changes in the fields of healthcare, education, disaster response, Indian culture, and urban renewal.

Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarships
The Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship (DAS) Program has been created in order to provide growth opportunities to young individuals. This program allows talented students to pursue higher education and also aims to create future leaders and efficient young professionals.
The program was launched in 1996 to fulfill Dhirubhai Ambani’s dream of not only creating an equal platform for the youth but also empowering them to create opportunities for themselves.
Education for All program
The Education for All (EFA) initiative backed by Reliance Foundation and the IPL team, Mumbai Indians, strives to create educational avenues for the underprivileged youth of India. The EFA program has managed to touch the lives of over 70,000 children across various marginalized communities in India.
Nita Ambani led Reliance Foundation has taken up this cause in association with six non-profit organizations.
Gulafsha Khan
The success story of Gulafsha Khan and her friends is the result of Reliance Foundation’s relentless efforts towards encouraging education for all. Residents of Motilal Nehru Nagar, they belong to low-income families that live near the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
Through Dhirubhai Ambani International School’s EFA program, young individuals from the Nehru Nagar area visit the premises to receive math and language lessons conducted by qualified teachers. Gulafsha is one of the 50 children taught by professionals that belong to one of Reliance Foundation’s NGO partners, Akanksha.
The result
Gulafsha has greatly benefitted from the EFA program over the past ten years. She states that the foundation has made it possible for individuals like her to enjoy state-of-the-art facilities along with excellent education.
She explained how she used to shy away from conversing with people outside of the school because of her inability to speak fluently in English. The
Nita Ambani-led Reliance Foundation has created opportunities that provide people like Gulafsha with the necessary skills.
